Connect with Your Audience

Social media is a great way to connect with your audience. The key is to provide great content and use the medium to listen to your audience. Great content can come in the form of advice for your customers about your area of expertise or relevant updates to what your business is doing. When providing content, focus on the needs of your audience. Then look for valuable feedback and reactions from your audience.

Smart Email Marketing

The reason companies use email marketing is that it works. According to the Direct Marketing Association, email marketing has an ROI of 4300%, meaning every dollar spent on email marketing is well spent.

Of course nobody wants their business associated with SPAM so a lot of companies just don’t use email marketing. But if you have expertise and valuable information that can help your customers, there really isn’t a better way to get it to your audience.

Creating a smart email marketing campaign is a great way for you to serve your customers. Your email marketing should be all about providing valuable information and building trust with customers over time.

10 Seconds to Make a Good Impression

Making a great first impression on your website is more important today than ever. Although we spend a lot of time in front of our screens, people spend less than a minute on each page while surfing the web. Researchers say you must communicate your value proposition within 10 seconds. That means your website must be designed to communicate effectively and efficiently, creating a great first impression and making every one of those 10 seconds count.

What should my logo look like?

A logo is the first (and usually the only) thing people see about your business. Make it say something important about your company and make sure that message is clear. It should translate well to many types of media. It should be easy to recognize at very large sizes and very small sizes. Most importantly make sure that it connects with and communicates well to your desired audience. What are they looking for? What do you offer them? How can you stand out?

Make your business great this year

Happy New Years everyone! Here are some great ways to make your business great this year.
1. Build a new website. It’s 2015, not 1995. If your website looks like it was created in the former you are probably not getting much out of it.
2. Update your branding. Contrary to popular belief, large businesses do update their logo and brand image on a regular basis. It could be time to consider what is working for you and what isn’t.
3. Do something you’ve never done before. Do you want to attract more customers this year than last year? You need a new approach. Try a mailing, social media campaign or google ads campaign. All of which can have some pretty incredible results. If you do the same things you did last year you should expect the same results.

Business Card Design 101

There is no right or wrong way to design a business card but there is some guidelines that help the recipients of them. First of all, a business card should be printed on a quality stock of paper so that it doesn’t easily waste away in someones wallet. Secondly, the preferred method of contact should stand out. Whether that’s you mobile number, office number or email it shouldn’t be hard for people to contact you. Finally, only include information pertinent to representing your business and your necessary contact information. The more you cram on there the less likely people will find it useful.
